Maxine McCurry Proctor, 67, of 218 T.R. Harris Drive, Apt G1, Shelby, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at her residence.
Born September 9, 1947 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Birch Lee McCurry and Vada Pauline Bowen McCurry Proctor. She was retired from PPG Industries.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Grady McCurry.
Survivors include her son, Michael Proctor and wife, Dana of Vale; a daughter, Lisa Kolton and husband, Jeff of Shelby; two grandchildren, Tiffany Smith and husband, Kirk and Vaughn Mease III and three step-grandchildren, Bryan Kolton, Sabrina Kolton and Michael Kolton.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Wednesday November 19, 2014 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston
Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Carolina Chapter, 1901 Burnswick Ave., Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
