Mayme Lee Hardin Barrett

Mayme Lee Hardin Barrett, 102, of Danny Drive, Cherryville, went to her
heavenly home on Monday, December 11, 2017, at her home surrounded by her
loving family.

Born in Lincoln County on August 26, 1915, she was a daughter of the late
Rufus Crowder Hardin and Margaret Alberta Wells Hardin. She retired from
Hewlett Manufacturing in Cherryville and was a member of Waco Baptist
Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde
Hilbert Barrett; two brothers, John Hardin and Glenn Hardin; and three
sisters, Georgia Mosteller, Alene Fisher, and Susan Ross.

She is survived by her daughter, Kaye Howell and husband, Paul of
Cherryville; grandson, Danny Howell and wife Carrie of Cherryville; two
great granddaughters, Danielle Sweezy and husband Josh of Kings Mountain and
Allison Howell of Cherryville; sister-in-law, Janice Page and husband Alvin
of Cherryville and special nephew, Don Fisher of Cherryville.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM at Waco Baptist
Church with the Dr. Harold Fite and Dr. Tim Elmore officiating. The body
will lie in state thirty minutes before the service.

The burial will follow the service in the Capernaum Cemetery.
