Melba Kay Gilbert, 71, of 123 Gantt Road, Vale, passed away Thursday,
November 27, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
She was born in Cleveland County on September 14, 1943 to the late Julius
Lloyd Propst and Fae Gantt Propst. She was co-owner of Gilbert Auction
Company, and a member of Kadesh United Methodist Church and was a long time
teacher of the Senior Lady's Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son Timothy
Gilbert.
She is survived by her husband Tony Lee Gilbert and son Tracy Gilbert and
James Herrin of Durham.
Visitation: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, Kadesh United Methodist Church,

Celebration of Life Service: 3:00 PM, Sunday, at Kadesh United Methodist
Church, Lawndale.
Officiating: Rev. Juston Smith.
Burial: Kadesh United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawndale.
