Miniature train ride provides fun at the park!

There was a "standing room only" crowd at the Mickey Shull Izzi Rotary Train Depot last weekend at the Shelby City Park as riders anxiously waited their turn to ride the Miniature Train. The "Rotary Special" Train was purchased for the park in 1952 by the Shelby Rotarians and eventually restored. After restoration, the first rides were offered at the 2002 Foothills Merry-Go Round festival. When you visit the Depot be sure to also see the antique 1930's Lionel model train display. The model trains were donated by Joe Harand, a long-time Shelby resident.
