Kings Mountain Historical Museum
Kings Mountain Historical Museum - Saturday, December 10, 2016, Santa Claus will be at the Museum during the Toys, Games & Trains exhibit to visit with the little ones. Mrs. Claus will also do a special reading of the classic 1823 children's story, "The Night Before Christmas." The museum will be open from 10:00am to 4:00pm Admission to this event is FREE!

Memory Making with Ornaments Participants will have the opportunity to make holiday ornaments in memory of their loved one. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Please them on Friday, December 16, 2016 as we light the way in Uptown Shelby. For each contribution of $10.00, a luminary will be placed on the Court Square in uptown Shelby. Each luminary will be labeled with the name of the individual to be remembered. A special military luminary is also available. Forms can be found on our website at www.hospicecares.cc and must be turned in no later than December 9, 2016. Proceeds support the general operations of Hospice Cleveland County. Christmas at Casar Park
Christmas at Casar Park starts at 6-8pm on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Take free pictures with Santa (bring your camera), free horse and buggy rides, tree lightning, crafts, hot chocolate, snacks and music! It's all free! Everyone is welcome!
Casar Christmas Parade
The Casar Christmas Parade is will be held Sunday, December 11, 2016, at 3:00pm. Starts at Casar Elementary and goes to Casar Post Office. DJ and public bathrooms at Fire Department. Post-Polio Support Group, Shelby
The Foothills Post- Polio Support Group, will hold their meeting on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 6:00pm at the conference room of the Life Enrichment Center of Shelby. The conference room is located at the back of the building. The center is located off Hwy. 18 North on Life Enrichment Blvd, just north of Cornerstone Dentistry. We will have a Christmas social, with special music. Each person should bring a covered dish. Drinks- coffee and water - will be provided. If you are a polio survivor and would like to attend, we would love to see you there! Feel free to bring a caregiver with you. Lincoln County Parks & Recreation
Dates to remember for Lincoln County Parks & Recreation: Winter Break Camp Registration. They will be holding Winter Break camp for kindergarten - 5th graders! Camp will be held at East Lincoln Community Center in Denver, NC on Wednesday-Friday December 21-23, 2016, and Tuesday-Friday December 27-30, 2016. Activities include arts and crafts, games and guest speakers. The Women's Volleyball Team Registration (age 21 and up) Volleyball League will be held this winter at East Community Center in Denver, NC. Games will be played on Sundays beginning January 8, 2017. The fee to play is $250 per team (teams can have 6-12 members) with all team information due by Friday, December 30, 2016. Depression Peer Support Group, Shelby
Depression Peer Support Group meets every Tuesday at the Cleveland Memorial Library in the small conference room. Join then in sharing peer support for those with depression. Contact Jodi with questions at 704-484-8998.
Shelby Singles 60 and Over
Shelby senior singles 60 and over invite you to join them the third Thursday of the month at Showmars at 5:00pm and alternate restaurants for dinner the first Friday of the month. Friday, December 2, 2016, they will be eating together at The Creekside Clock restaurant about 4:30pm. See what they are all about as many have found lasting friendships and lifelong companions.
