More Info: Have you wanted to tour a local farm and meet the animals? Come out to visit the animals at SonRidge, ride a horse, milk a goat, get your face painted, and much much more. All while supporting a great cause! A local individual has worked hard to make tote bags for local ministries and now we need to gather items to fill up the bags with useful supplies. Admission for this event is simply a donation of supplies for the cause. Admission is limited and registration is required. More Info: The Cleveland County Veterans Advisory Council is taking applications for the annual Veterans Day Parade. Parade Forms and Grand Marshall forms may be obtained at the CC Veterans Service Office, CC Administrative Offices, 311 E. Marion St., Shelby, NC. Forms can also be obtained by emailing TVMustang68@bellsouth.net or calling 704-435-1516. This year's parade theme is "Women in the Military". Women veterans are encouraged to apply for the Grand Marshall or participate in the parade. The Veterans Day Program follows the parade on the lawn of the Earl Scruggs Center in uptown Shelby.
