Neman T Bates, 38 of Nemans Cove, died unexpectedly February 2, 2015, at Carolina Healthcare Systems Cleveland from an accident.

He was born in Mecklenburg Co. on August 7, 1976 a son of Hilda Rogers Bates, of Cherryville and the late Willard Timothy Bates. Neman was a member of St. Dorothy's Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus, and very active in with the Cherryville Little Ironmen football and coach pitch baseball.

In addition to his mother Hilda Bates he is survived by his wife Anna Mims Bates, his son Zen T. Bates of the home, maternal grandmother Joyce Rogers of Cherryville, Uncles Randy and Kathy Bates of West Jefferson and Orlando, Fl. And Michael and Beth Rogers of Calabash, NC and Cherryville, and an aunt Rita and Gerry Ginaine of Fayetteville.

A memorial services will be held Friday at 11 AM at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services with Father David Miller officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends after the services at the funeral home.
