Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Helps Restore Disabled Veterans
Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing is a nationwide non-profit organization offering confidence and self esteem as well as caring to veterans. The Project helps rehabilitate veterans with disabilities. The organization teaches classes at VA (Veterans Affairs), DOD (Department of Defense), and WTU (Warrior Transition Units) as well as other locations. Volunteers from local fly fishing clubs teach the classes. It is available to all veterans with a VA disability rating or on active duty receiving treatment for a disabling condition. All those veterans are eligible to join Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing. Jeffrey Newton is the local volunteer instructor and is available at 828-460-0721 or email: backpacker6794@yahoo.com. This program is an outstanding outreach to our veterans who have served. The results have been amazing and much appreciated. To join this program, call or email Jeffrey Newton.
