Randall Davis, age 80, died Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System-Cleveland. Born in Rutherford County July 29, 1937 he was the son of the late James Marion "Jack" Davis Melmer Monteith Davis.

Randall was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Word Formations Sunday School Class; he was also a former deacon of First Baptist Church of Shelby. He was a Past Master of Cleveland Masonic Lodge 202 A.F. & A.M. Randall served as a former host for the American Legion World Series and was a member of the Cleveland County Seniors Golf Association. He worked for Fiber Industries and then Hoechst-Celanese after the name change where he retired after 34 years of employment.

In addition to his parents Randall was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law; Orland Elms, Bill Carpenter, and Larry Guffey.

Randall is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirleen Elms Davis, brother Leslie Davis and wife Brenda of Shiloh, two sisters; Miriam Walker and husband Roger of Greensboro and Lisa Cox of Pinnacle, as well as one sister-in-law, Barbara Carpenter of Shelby and many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Brackeen and Mr. Chuck Rinehart officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 pm until 3 pm in the church sanctuary.
