Rebecca Ann McSwain, 61 of Belmont, formerly of Cherryville, died Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on October 12, 1953 to the late John and Betty Fisher McSwain. Becky was formerly employed at Alfred and Charlie's in Gastonia.
The family would like to "Thank" Gaston Residential Services for the care given to Rebecca, and a special cousin and best friend, Betty Sue Scism.
She is survived by her sister, Kathy M. Moss and husband, Jack of Cherryville; two nieces, Stephanie Dellinger and husband, George of Iron Station, and Julia Moss of Cherryville; and one great niece and two great nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Second Baptist Church at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 2:00 to 2:45 PM and at other times at the home of Kathy and Jack Moss.
