Rebecca Jane Yarborough Earwood, 66, of 1017 Hardin Drive, Shelby, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte.

She was born in Cleveland County on June 17, 1948 to the late Lowell  and Viola Jackson Yarborough.  She was retired from White Oak Manor in Shelby as a nursing secretary and was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include son, Craig Earwood and wife Robin, daughters, Kim Blanton and husband Roger, and Cynthia Green and husband Lee, all of Shelby, brothers, James Yarborough and wife Kay of Raleigh, and Charles Yarborough and wife Rhonda of Shelby, grandchildren, Emily and Cole Blanton, Mandy Thackerson and husband Josh, and Kasey Hefner, great-grandchildren, Ally and Brody Thackerson, Ella Hefner, and Claire Finney.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 23, 2014, 6-8 PM, at Stamey Funeral Home.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014, 2 PM, at Zion Baptist Church with the Dr. Danny West officiating.  The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
