Request for proposals for fiscal year 2017-2018 Cleveland County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council

The Cleveland County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) announces the availability of $277,984 in intervention and prevention funds for services to delinquent youth and those at risk of delinquency. JCPC funds require a local cash or in-kind match of 20%. Funds are dependent upon appropriation by the NC Legislature.
Based on the JCPC planning process conducted to date, the program services needed in Cleveland are:
• Parent/Family Skill Building
• Home Based Family Counseling
• Mental Health Counseling
• Substance Abuse Counseling/Treatment
• Interpersonal Skill Building
• Mentoring
• Mediation/Conflict Resolution
• Teen Court
• Community Service/Restitution
• Assessment Services: Clinical/Psychological/Substance Abuse/Sex Offender Specific
• Residential Service Programs: Temporary Crisis/Shelter, Foster Care
Local public agencies, 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporations and local housing authorities wishing to submit applications for programs that provide any of these services are required to complete an application to the Cleveland County JCPC. Completed applications must be submitted through NCALLIES by February 17 at 1:00 pm with an electronic copy being sent to mcchcc@charlotte.twcbc.com along with the most recent audit or compilation. Mandatory training for all applicants will be on January 20 at 10:00 am in Room 387 of the Public Health Center. Presentation of completed applications will be required at the JCPC Program Committee meeting; appointments will be set individually for week of February 20, 2017.
