Rev. Wesley Scott “Slim” Patterson, age 47, resident of Cherryville, NC passed away and went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2014 at Kings Mountain Hospice House.  He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Thomas Wesley Patterson and Marie Neill Dover.  He was also preceded in death by brother, Thomas Eugene “Tommy” Patterson.   Mr. Patterson was a member of Glory Land Missionary Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC and ministered at Sommerset Court Assisted Living in Cherryville.  He was employed at Kings Mountain International.   He was shot coordinator and officer for the Cherryville Traditional New Year’s Eve Shooters.   He loved his God and his Church and wanted everyone to be saved.  He loved everyone and everyone loved him.  He loved animals and enjoyed fixing things especially refurbishing old tractors. 

SURVIVORS: Wife: Ronee Ford Patterson, Cherryville, NC; Son: Andy Ford, Kings Mtn. NC; Special Daughter-in-law: Crystal Cline, Pineville, NC; Brother: Will Patterson, Cherryville, NC; Sister: Trina Patterson, Cherryville, NC; 2 Grandchildren: Jordan Ford, Kings Mtn. NC  and Laila Acosta, Pineville, NC; and Number of nieces and nephews.

 FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Friday, August 1, 2014; 2:00 P.M.  Rev. David Turner, officiating.

VISITATION: 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. Friday, August 1, 2014 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
