Reverend William Allen “Bill” Stroud
The Reverend William Allen “Bill” Stroud, 81, of Crestbrook Circle, Boiling Springs, died on Sunday, April 06, 2014 at Hospice of Cleveland County at Wendover. A native of Chester, SC, he was born on Monday, May 16, 1932, a son of the late William Green Stroud and Margaret Isabelle Allen Stroud, of the home. Rev. Stroud was a graduate of Furman University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a retired Baptist Minister, having served at South Union Baptist Church of Westminster, SC, Haynes Memorial Baptist Church of Henrietta, NC, Highland Baptist Church of Shelby, NC, and retired from Cliffside Baptist Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church.
 
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ann Creed Stroud. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Allen Stroud, Jr., of Spartanburg, SC; his daughter, Lori Stroud Garner and husband Lee of Anderson, SC; his grandchildren, Jennifer Stroud Brooks and husband Tyler, of Statesville, Allison Stroud, of Salisbury, Kelsey Stroud, Kristen Stroud, both of Mooresboro, Alyssa Garner, and Jessica Garner, both of Anderson, SC.           
 
A Celebration of Rev. Stroud’s Life will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Myers, Rev. Dr. Jim Richardson, Rev. Dr. Carroll Page, officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service in the Family Life Center. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 10, 2014 at Chester Memorial Gardens, 945 W. End Road, Chester, SC 29706.
