Richard "Ricky" Dean Cooksey

Richard "Ricky" Dean Cooksey, 56, 121 Morgan Street, Apt. K, Spindale, NC, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at home after a short illness. He is a son of the late William Perry and Ruby Allene Roberts Cooksey. Born in Cleveland County, NC, he grew up in Blacksburg, SC, but spent most of his adult life in Shelby, NC, and Spindale, NC. He was a machinist by trade.
He is survived by his brother , Earl Eugene "Gene" Cooksey and wife, Susan, of Calhoun, GA, (formerly of Blacksburg) as well as extended family members. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Cooksey Batchelor.
A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be held March 22, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 200 Elm Street, Gaffney, SC, with Rev. Lewis Batchelor and Mr. Michael Batchelor officiating.
Memorials may be made, in honor of Ricky, to Tabernacle Baptist Church Mission Fund.
