Gaffney -- Robert Eugene Teague, 66, of 544 Goucher Green Bethel Road, passed away Tuesday, May 19th, 2015, at Mary Black Health System - Gaffney.

Born in Gaffney, he was the longtime companion of Mae Thornburg and the son of the late John and Mary BlantonTeague. Mr. Teague formerly worked as a taxi driver and was a member of Cherokee Gospel Tabernacle.

In addition to his longtime companion, Mr. Teague is survived by one daughter, Kristy Teague Graham and fiance, Robert Larson, of Hattisburg, MS; one son, John Robert Teague, of Columbia, SC; one step-daughter, Angela Thornburg, and fiance, Mike Medley, of Gaffney; one step-son, Randall Thornburg and wife, Sonya, of Gaffney; nine grandchildren, Annabelle Benson, Joseph and Justin Graham, CJ Brown, Kaitlynn Polly, Seth and Maya Thornburg, Kayla and John Haulbrooks; and one great-grandson, Braylen Grubbs.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Teague was preceded in death by a son, Jason Haulbrooks; one brother, Leonard Teague; and one sister, Patricia "Sissy" Teague.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22nd, 2015, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23rd, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Joe Martin and Rev. Richard "Snake" Sellers officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Randall Thornburg, Rob Larson, John Teague, CJ Brown, Keith Polly, Brian Smith, Donnie Karsmizki, and Mike Medley will serve as pallbearers.
