Ruby Hayes Emory

Ruby Hayes Emory, 87, of Orchard St., departed this earthly life and entered into her heavenly home on Nov. 28th, 2014, at Hospice at Wendover, surrounded by her loving family.  A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late John and Mae Pack Hayes.  Ruby was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church, and retired from Sackville Mill.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Ada Hayes; husband, Dewitt Emory; sisters, Ellen Emory and Alice Martin; son-in-law, Charles Leonard; great-grandson, Jacob Leonhart; grand son-in-law, David Ogle

SURVIVED: She is survived by her daughters, Betty Leonhart and husband Ronnie of Kings Mountain, Carolyn Spruling and husband Harold of Shelby, Linda Wiggins and husband Larry of Boiling Springs, Sandra Leonard, and Tammy Cogdell and husband Michael, all of Shelby; sons, Steve Emory, of the home, Ricky Emory and wife Eilene of Kings Mountain; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister, Louise Panther and husband Clifford of Grover; brother, Tommy Hayes and wife Patsy of Shelby; many nieces and nephews, and her favorite pet dog, Buddy; and a special group of caregivers, Joyce Posey, Brandy Bredwell, and a super staff at Hospice at Wendover.

SERVICES: Sunday, 3pm, at Faith Baptist Church

VISITATION:  The family will receive friends Sunday, 1:30-3pm, at the church, and other times at the home of Carolyn and Harold Spurling.

BURIAL: Cook Memorial Cemetery at Faith Baptist Church

CLERGY: Dr. J. Barry Goodman, Revs. Johnny Owens and Billy Boone
