The ministry office of The Salvation Army in Shelby has moved, but not very far.

As of Monday, March 20, visitors should come to 305-307 N. Lafayette St., which is next door to the old location.

Clients seeking rental assistance or help with utility bills, and those requesting help from the food pantry or clothing assistance must come to this location. The entrance is at the back of the building. From Lafayette Street, turn onto Dorton Street, which is between Enloe's Mortuary and The Salvation Army church. Enter through the double white doors.

Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday.

Financial services are available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Food and clothing are offered from 1 to 3 p.m. No appointments are taken. Service is on a first come-first serve basis.
