Sandra Denise Parker Black, 52, of 3526 Plainfield Drive, Shelby, passed
away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in
Shelby.
Born October 11, 1962 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of Dennis
Hazel Parker and Sheila Ann Padgett Parker of Shelby. She was a member of
Royster Avenue Church of God and employed by Superstiches. Sandy loved
watching her son, Phillip, play baseball for Burns, CVCC and the American
Legion Post 82.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of thirty years,
Darrel Duane Black, one son, Phillip Black of Shelby, two sisters, Crystal
Parker of Shelby and Misty Parker Black & husband, Charlie of Gaffney,
brother-in-law, Todd Black & wife, Tania of Grover, and two nephews, Charlie
& Bayley Black of Gaffney.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Sunday November 9, 2014 at Beaver
Dam Baptist Church. At other times, the family will at the home of her
parents, 3708 Delta Drive Shelby, NC 28150.
The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday at Beaver Dam Baptist Church
with Rev. Richard Shores officiating.
Burial will be at 11:00 am Monday at Cleveland Memorial Park.
