Sandra Taylor Brock, age 67, of Rutherfordton, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at her residence.
Born Monday, August 16, 1948 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Sam Ezell Taylor and Marjorie Davis Taylor. She worked as a CNA for Willow Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for thirty-five years before retirement. She was of the Methodist faith. Sandra enjoyed NASCAR, playing bingo and working on crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Annette Fisher and brother, Roger Taylor.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Wicks of Union Mills; son, Dwayne Dowdle of Rutherfordton; two sisters, Dorothy Scott of Gilkey and Donna Hudson of Cliffside; three brothers, Sam Taylor, Jr. of Bostic, William Taylor of Gilkey and Michael Taylor of Morganton. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Devyn Wicks.
Honoring Sandra's request, no formal services will be conducted. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
