Sharon Lee Mayer Morrison
Sharon Lee Mayer Morrison, 59, of Goode Road, Mooresboro, Rutherford County, died on Wednesday, August 06, 2014 at her residence. A native of Washington, DC, she was born on August 28, 1954, a daughter of the late Michael H. Mayer and Jean Parker Hamlet. She was a United States Navy Veteran and was a retired Nurse, having enjoyed her nursing career for 30 years. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone. A person who could be depended on in good times and bad! She was someone who would tell you the truth if you wanted to hear it or not.  She will be remembered by those who knew her for her enthusiastic love for life. Her many interests were camping, vacations, and family get togethers. She enjoyed nothing better than a Saturday BBQ followed by family game night or a good movie night. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jonath Robert Morrison. She is survived by her sons, Gunnery Sgt. Jason Morrison and wife Karen of Camp Pendleton, CA and Robert Eugene Morrison of Ohio; her daughters, Deborah Jean Crawford of Forest City, Elizabeth Morrison Beattie and husband John of Del Rio, TX and Misty Rain Morrison of the home; her grandchildren, Jonathan Whisnant, Victorira Morrison, Heather Crawford, Jason Morrison, II, Alex Beattie Karina Morrison, Tyler Beattie and Logan Beattie; her brothers, Mike Mayer of Greenville, SC, Marty Hamlet of Alabama, Ron Johnson of Lake Lure and Rick Hamlet of Greenville, SC; her sisters, Joanne Mode of Forest City, Linda Mortumato of Mooresboro and Karen Packer of Mooresboro.

A Celebration of Sharon's Life will be held at the graveside 
at 4:00pm on Friday, August 08, 2014at Cleveland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, August 08, 2014 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
