SHELBY GOLDEN LIONS TAKE STATE TITLE!
The Shelby Golden Lions returned to their field house shortly after five o'clock on Saturday, December 13th, and we were there to greet the state champions. In the weight room, Coach Lance Ware holds the state championship trophy as his staff and assistant coaches gathered around for this  keepsake picture. Coach Ware said: "We ran the ball well, but it was a great game by our defense. They really made the difference." Shelby was one of two schools from Cleveland County that ended up being state champions. This was the Golden Lions second straight title. The score of 31-7 was indicative of how strong Shelby was, considering that Clinton was averaging 40 points a game. The 2A title belongs to a great team and a great coaching staff. Congratulations!
