The Shelby VFW recognized Deputy Tim Sims of the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office as their "Officer of the Year" at their monthly meeting on Monday, February 4, 2019. He was presented a plaque and a check for his courageous service. Deputy Sims was shot in the line of duty on August 14, 2018 and should be returning to duty soon. We salute Deputy Sims and the officers from all of our Law Enforcement Agencies in Cleveland County for putting their lives on the line to protect the citizens of our county!
