FOREST CITY - Ms. Sherry Lynn Kelly, age 63, passed away peacefully at Carolina Care Center in Cherryville, NC and entered her Heavenly home on August 15, 2014. Sherry was born on January 11, 1951 to the late Clarence Wilbur and Ivy Bennett Petty. She is also predeceased by her husband, Gene Kelly; a son, Bobby Dewayne Ogle; a daughter, Lisa Lynn Yancey and a grandson, James Eric Sisk.
She is survived by two sisters, Betty Diane Martin and Kathy Elmore of Shelby; one grandson, Brandon Yancey of Shelby; two granddaughters, Melissa Lynn Spurlin and Bobbie Few both of Shelby.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Community Baptist Church in Lawndale, NC with the Rev. John Bridges officiating. Visitation 30 prior to service.
