Shirley Mae Hudson, age 79 died Tuesday September 2, 2014 at McDowell Assisted Living. Born on January 22, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Harry Lee and Vennie Viola Strange Hudson. Shirley enjoyed listening to gospel music. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Hudson and Marvin Hudson; and three sisters, Rosa Lee Whitaker, Patricia Ann Hudson, and Margaret Christine Hudson.

Shirley is survived by three sisters, Joyce Carolyn Hudson of Shelby, Peggy Hudson Ricker of Charleston SC., and Linda Hudson Andrew of Kings Mountain; a brother, Thomas E. Hudson and wife Winnie of Kings Mountain; and many loving and caring nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be  at 11:00 a.m. on Friday September 5, 2014 at Cleveland Memorial Park with Pastor Marsha Birstow officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of Linda Andrew, 110 Pine Lake Drive, Kings Mountain.
