Gaffney -- Steven Ray "Rat" Mullinax, 53, of 1508 Ford Road, passed away Monday, June 27th, 2016, at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Sandra Painter "Nat" Mullinax and the son of the late Marvin Mullinax Sr. and Mary Jane Upchurch Mullinax. Mr. Mullinax worked in construction and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Mullinax, in addition to his wife, are a son, Jeremy White and wife, Nicole, of Gaffney; a step-son, Johnny Lamb and wife, Patty, and Daniel Thompson, all of Gaffney; five step-daughters, Donna Lamb, Dottie Upton and husband, Paul, Deana Greene and husband, Scott, Becky Lamb, and April Thompson, all of Gaffney; two brothers, Roy C. Mullinax and wife, Barbara, of Central, SC and Marvin Mullinax Jr. and wife, Missy, of Gaffney; three sisters, Mary Parker, Barbara Ann Patterson and husband, Walter, and Lisa Lydia and fiance, Lawrence Crocker, all of Gaffney; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mullinax was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Mullinax.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 29th, 2016, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel.

The family will be at the residence.
