Stevie D. Wells, age 51, of Brooklyn Road, Forest City, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born June 9, 1963 in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Lou Wells and Carolyn F. Walker. He was a graduate of Broom High School, class of 1982 and was an over the road truck driver for many years. Stevie was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed watching NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant nephew, Johnny Ray Wells.
Survivors include his sister, Teresa Wells of Forest City; life partner, Angie Woody of Old Fort, NC; son, Mitchell Singleton of Kansas; step-son, Thomas Whelan and wife, Tia of Casar; two aunts, Margaret Holt and husband, Tommy and Joyce Durham both of Spartanburg. He was also survived by one nephew, Kyle Wells; two nieces, April and Amanda Wells and two grandchildren.
Mr. Wells has chosen to donate his body for the purpose of medical research and no formal services will be conducted.
Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
