T. J. Stidham., age 77, of Shelby, NC, passed away August 30, 2015 at Wendover Hospice.
Born September 22, 1937 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late James Monroe Stidham and Rose Ruth Clark Stidham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shannon Richard; brothers, Morgan Stidham, Toby Stidham; sisters, Ovenia Stacey and Virginia Stidham.
T. J. attended Souls Harbor Tabernacle in Ellenboro and was a United States Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Ann Freshwater Stidham; daughters, Terry Uren (Jody) of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, Sue Dale (Garfield) of Casar; step-children, Billy Morris (Carissa) of Shelby, Barbara Nash (Todd) of Gastonia, Debbie Towery (Dixon) of Shelby; brothers, Johnny Stidham (Pat), Sam Stidham (Linda); grandchildren, Micah Uren, Monica Gabel; step-grandchildren, Tiffany Morris, Dusty Morris, Nikki Morris, Alena Towery, Faith Nash, Aaron Nash, Bethany Haley, Jessica Haley; great-grandchildren, Kylie Gable, Lexi Gabel, Zach Richard; and step-great-granddaughter, Ally Haley.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Chuck Poole officiating. Interment will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Services.
