Ted "Teddy" Devet Gantt, 70, of Shoal Rd., died Saturday April 25, 2015 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born in Cleveland Co. on April 15, 1945 a son of the late Earl Devet Gantt and Jacqueline Absher. Ted was a longline driver for Fredrickson and a veteran of the US Army during Viet Nam.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Clara Dell foster Gantt on Jan. 13, 2015.

He is survived by his son Michael Gantt and wife Denise, of Crouse and two grandchildren Lisa Gantt and Chris Gibson

A memorial service will be held Tuesday April 28, 2015 at 4 pm at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Ken Faulkenbury officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 3-3:45 PM and at other times at the home.
