Terrell Ann Gates Jetton
 
Terrell Ann Gates Jetton, age 49 of Baldwin Hall Drive in Charlotte, died Friday, September 26, 2014 at Carolina’s Medical Center in Pineville.  She was born on December 15, 1964 in Gaston County to Darrell and Becky Stroupe Gates of Cherryville.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and numerous music organizations in the area.  Terrell graduated from Lenoir Rhyne University with a Bachelors in Music Education.  She worked for Montgomery, Lincoln, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg County school systems.  She also attended Queens College where she was certified in Music Therapy and worked with special needs children in the Fort Mill School System. While at the Fort Mill Schools she led numerous music programs for large groups of students, grades K- 12.  Terrell also worked as a music therapist at multiple nursing homes and Alzheimer’s facilities.  She was a very talented musician and soprano vocalist and used her talent to serve the Lord and others.  Terrell also enjoyed traveling, painting with her mom, and being outdoors.  She had a great love for nature and for helping others.
 
 
 
Terrell was preceded in death by her grandparents; and her father-in-law, Tom “T.L.” Jetton, all of whom she had a fond affection.
 
 
 
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of fifteen years, Frank Jetton of the home; brothers, Stephen Gates (Faith) of Gastonia, and Jason Gates of Harmony; nephews, Jonathan Stevens, Bryce Gates, Michael Gates, Wesley Gates, and Clayton Gates; niece, Parker Gates; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Jetton of Charlotte; brothers-in-law, Tom Jetton (Mari Anne) of Burlington, VT, and Bill Jetton (Brenda) of Charlotte; and a sister-in-law, Beth Jetton of Concho, AZ.
 
 
 
Mrs. Jetton will also be fondly remembered by her loving students at Fort Mill School. “We sure do miss seeing your beautiful smile…”
 
 
 
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Eric Childers officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:45 PM in the Vestibule of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
