Therman “Therm Rat” Stafford

Therman “Therm Rat” Stafford, age 35, of Henson Road, Forest City, NC died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at his residence.
Born November 27, 1978 in Polk County, NC, he was a son of Marvin Andrew Stafford and Jackie Bailey Stafford. Therm Rat worked for A & L Lumber for many years and was an avid car racer and fan. He competed on all the local race circuits and also enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents, survivors include two brothers, William Stafford and wife, Cynthia and Marvin John Stafford and wife, Janie all of Forest City; niece, Lindsey Marie Stafford; two nephews, Andrew Dean Stafford and William Stafford, Jr. He is also survived by ten uncles, six aunts and a number of cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
