On August 6th, 2016 Lawndale's Boy Scout Troop 112 celebrated their 75th Anniversary at Lawndale Baptist Church in Lawndale. The event coordinated by Mark Bracket included a flag ceremony, court of honor (scouts receive their merits and rank advancements), honoring older scouts, refreshments and memorabilia from the Lawndale Museum.
Awards were given to the town of Lawndale, First United Methodist Church and Lawndale Baptist Church for their continued support of the Boy Scouts. There was also a tour of the Troop Hut. Submitted by Rodney Honeycutt
