Verlan Tessneer, age 87, of the Bill's Creek Community and wife of Arthur Tessneer passed away Monday at White Oak Manor. She was a native of Rutherford County, a retired clerk at Wilson's Store and a member of Bill's Creek Baptist Church.

Verlan was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Rachael Crawford Dalton and her son Don Tessneer.

Left to cherish her memory, in addition to her husband Arthur whom she was married to for 70 years, is her daughter in law Joyce Tessneer and grandson Donnie Tessneer of the Bill's Creek Community along with a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday at Bill's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Kelly Luckadoo officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday prior to the service.
