Born March 2, 1932 in Catawba County, he was a son of the late Worth Plyer Miller, Sr. and Grace Mae Sain Miller. He was the owner and operator of Miller Printing Company and was a member of Hull's Grove Baptist Church. He served in the US AirForce.
