Wallace "Wally" Mode, age 64, of Bostic, NC, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
Born July 24, 1950 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Thomas Mode and Fannie Rome Mode. Wally was a welder and worked for Foothills Mobile Homes for many years. He also worked as a pipefitter for Exxon Oil Company for several years. He was of the Baptist Faith. Wally enjoyed bartering and selling most anything and loved his dogs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Josie Lee Bright.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Mode; two daughters, Amy Atchley and husband, Clint and Brandy Mode all of Forest City; two brothers, Ray Mode and Steve Mode and wife, Margaret all of Forest City; one sister, Diane Scruggs and husband, Hoyle of Ellenboro. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Austin Crowder, Owin Atchley and Olivia Lowery.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ron Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
