Cherryville - Ms. Wanda Ophelia Edwards 82, of Little Matt Drive passed away
on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare Systems - Cleveland.

Wanda was born on March 5, 1936 in Middleway, West Virginia a daughter of
the late Joseph Wesley Edwards and Estelle Moore Edwards. She was a
homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd
Wesley Edwards and a sister, Shirley Ann Hoffman and a son-in-law, Shirley
Simpson.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Simpson; a son, Dale Michael Simpson
both of Cherryville; a brother, Robert L. Edwards; two sisters, Betty
Faircloth and Debra Newcomb all of West Virginia; four grandchildren, ten
great grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are a number
of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 1:45 to 2:45 PM at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 21, 2018 at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home with Rev Ken Gibson officiating.

Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery.
