William Hal Hunt, 73, of Rutherfordton, died Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Hospice House. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Glen Holson and Lois Lucille Guffey Hunt. William was a US Army veteran stationed in Hasloch, Germany and a retired truck driver.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Christopher Hunt and wife Windy Lynn and their children, William Zachary Hunt, Emily Maria Hunt and Kathryn Elizabeth Hunt; daughter, Maria De Oliveira and husband Marcio and their child, Braden Crossley; brother, Scott Hunt and sisters, Lucy Flack and Julie Hunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bobbi Pope Huffman Hunt.

Graveside services will be held 10AM Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Caldwell officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
