Mr. Ben E. Bowen, 74, of Shelby, NC passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012. Services were held at Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial was held at Cleveland Memorial Park.

Mr. Bowen was preceded in death by his parents,  Floyd Bowen and Louise Bowen; 2 stepchildren, Todd Wyatt and  Kim Wyatt and one brother, Billy.

He is survived by  his wife, Frances Bowen of the home, two daughters: Tammy Walker and husband Dana of Shelby and Lorie Mathis of the home, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
