Inez Broome Rowan

Inez Broome Rowan, 91, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Hospice Cleveland County. She was the daughter of the late James Madison and Ida Fisher Broome. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William K. Rowan; 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Mrs. Rowan was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She was very active with the debutante ball and the Junior Charity League. She loved aerobics and staying physically fit. She also enjoyed gardening, needlepoint and interior decorating.

Mrs. Rowan is survived by her brother, Claude Broome of Greensboro, NC; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Joy and Carl Frazee. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the wonderful care Sterling House provided for Inez, especially Lindsay Albright and Patty Morrison.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial be made to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
