Joshua Rashaun Brooks, age 44, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at his home. Born March 26, 1981, in Cleveland County, Joshua was the beloved son of Ronald Phillips of Boiling Springs, NC, and Annie Brooks Phillips of the home.

Joshua was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Julia Brooks; and his paternal grandmother, Betty Phillips.

He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Jeremiah Brooks and Keyshawn Strong, both of Kings Mountain, NC; his forever wife, Lashonda Warren; three sisters, Julia (Eddie) Sewell, Octavia "Lori" Brooks Dorsey, and Yolanda (Stacey) Asbell, all of Shelby, NC; four nieces, six nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Though his journey on earth has ended, Joshua's laughter, love, and song, will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Golden Ridge Baptist Church, Kingstown, NC.
