Ronnie S. Pledger, 45 of 709 Mayo Road, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012  at his residence. A native of Cleveland County, he was born April 4, 1966, son of Larry Gene Pledger, Sr. and Patsy Jones McLaurin. He had a love of fishing and loved his family very much, especially his daughter and grandson.

PRECEDED: He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mildred Pearson.

SURVIVED: In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Amanda Pledger and fiancé Matt Hickok of the home; four sisters, Patty Mullinax of Blacksburg, SC, Chrissy Lail of Mooresboro, NC, Teresa Melton of Forest City, NC, and Rhonda DeGunion of Atlanta, GA; one brother Larry Pledger, Jr. of Blacksburg, SC; one grandson, Zackary Hickok of the home; and his step-mother Pat Pledger.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm, Thursday, March 8, 2012 At Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel of Shelby.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
