 You’re invited to the Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Shelby City Park. Join us for food, fun, balloons for the kids, fellowship, and information! There will be displays of local law enforcement agency personnel, vehicles, and tools of the trade by Shelby Police Department, Shelby Fire Department, Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, and North Carolina Highway Patrol.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

is designed to:

•Heighten crime

and drug prevention awareness;

•Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;

•Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and

•Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Neighborhoods throughout Shelby are invited to join forces with thousands of other communities nationwide for this 27th annual crime and drug prevention event. This event is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored by the Shelby Police
