Mrs. Abigail Elizabeth Ballard, age 63 of Bessemer City passed away at Levine Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville on November 6, 2013. She was a daughter of the late Will and Frances Brock Free.

She is survived by her husband Ken Eugene Ballard; one son, Joseph Benjamin of Charlotte; three sisters, Katie Childers of AZ, Ruth Pope of Bessemer City and Ruby Dowdle of Lincolnton; one brother, Roy Free; loving nieces, Dana Pope and Crystal Dowdle; six Grandchildren; three Great-grandchildren; Special friends Carol, Glenda and Renee.

Mrs. Ballard was a very special and uplifting lady that loved the Lord. She touched a lot of lives.

Pastor Tom Ravan, Jr. will conduct a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 107 East Washington Avenue, Bessemer City, NC 28016.
