The Crest FFA Alumni Association has announced rising country music star Alex Miller as the headliner for the Second Annual Blue Jacket Jam, scheduled for March 7, 2026, at the Crest High School Auditorium. The concert is expected to draw country music fans, FFA alumni, and students from across the region for an evening that blends national-level entertainment with strong agricultural roots. Miller first gained national recognition as a standout contestant on American Idol in 2021 and has since built an impressive career rooted in traditional country music. In June 2024, he made his debut on the Grand Ole Opry, marking a major milestone for the young artist. Since his Idol appearance, Miller has released multiple successful projects, including his debut album MILLER TIME and subsequent EPs featuring fan favorites such as "I'm Over You, So Get Over Me," "Don't Let the Barn Door Hit Ya," and the widely popular "Puttin' Up Hay." In addition to his own charting releases, Miller has toured extensively and opened for some of the biggest names in country music, including Brooks & Dunn, Alabama, Hank Williams Jr., Josh Turner, Lee Brice, Jamey Johnson, Justin Moore, Neal McCoy, and Drake Milligan. He has also shared the stage with legendary acts such as Diamond Rio, Sawyer Brown, and Rhonda Vincent, further cementing his reputation as one of country music's fastest-rising traditionalists. His performances span major state fairs, county fairs, and prominent venues across the United States. Beyond his success in music, Miller's deep ties to agriculture and youth leadership make him a natural fit for the Blue Jacket Jam. Raised on a working farm in rural Kentucky, Miller is a strong advocate for agricultural education and earned the American FFA Degree, the highest honor awarded by the National FFA Organization. His background and values align closely with the mission of the Crest FFA Alumni, which hosts the Blue Jacket Jam as a fundraiser to support local FFA students, leadership development, and agricultural programs. Tickets for the Second Annual Blue Jacket Jam will go on sale December 5, 2025. Organizers encourage community members, FFA supporters, and country music fans to purchase early, as interest is expected to be high. The event promises a night of high-energy, authentic country music while celebrating the traditions and values of FFA Submitted by Lyndi Forrest
