Alexander "Bobby" Javester Brooks, 75, of 409 Walkers Ridge Rd. Shelby, NC passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Peak Resources in Grover, NC. He was born on June 29, 1950 to the late Robert Nathaniel Brooks and the Margaret Mason Brooks in Cleveland County, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Robert Brooks, Jr., Helen Glover, Carolyn Albright, and Susan Strickland.

He leaves his precious memories to his wife of 57 years Ellen W. Brooks; children, Carla Brooks of Bessemer City, NC, Anthony Brooks (Michele) of Shelby, NC, Brian Brooks (Mechile) of Shelby, NC, Teddy Brooks (Leslie) of Kings Mountain, NC, Chad Brooks (Meagan) of Cherryville, NC; siblings, Bishop Cleveland Brooks of Dayton, OH and Donnis Johnson of Alabama; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers in law, David Webber of York, SC, William Webber of Gastonia, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 11, 2026 at New Way Missionary Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC. Burial will be in Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery
