Allen Ray Sanders, 67, of 512 E. Stagecoach Trail, Lawndale, passed away, October 27, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.

Born April 29, 1947 in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late George McKinley Sanders and Georgia Laura Cardwell Sanders.  He was retired from Cleveland Regional Medical Center as Director of Clinical Engineering and was of the Methodist faith.  Mr. Sanders served in the US Army during Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Elizabeth Goins Sanders; son, Allen Sanders and wife, Melissa of Boiling Springs; daughter, Lora Scism of Lawndale; four grandchildren, Maegan and Linkin Scism, Lorissa and Rylan
Sanders; four brothers, Robert Sanders and Roy Sanders both of Morganton, Fred Sanders of Marion and James Sanders of Valdese; and one sister, Shirley Hartley of Sawmills.

Visitation: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston
