Alline Cox Lail, 1400 Lackey Street, Shelby, passed away in her home while resting peacefully Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015.
She was the daughter of the late James Oscar and Lizzie Nora Hamn Cox.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Willard Lail; brothers, Raymond, Roscoe and Cooledge Cox; and sister, Cleo Ware.
Survivors include her daughter, Maxine Norville and Walter Norville Jr.; son, Eddie and Julie Lail; four grandchildren, Angie Rogers and husband, Sammy, Kenneth Norville and wife, Jennifer, Lance Norville and wife, Sara, and Ashley Stroup and husband, Travis; 11 great-grandchildren, all of Shelby; sister-in-laws, Ada Nanney of Shelby and Ruby Cox of Kings Mountain.
Mrs. Lail lived with her granddaughter, Ashley, who was her primary caregiver. The family would like to thank Healthy at Home, Shevela Parris, Care Solutions, Hospice of Cleveland County, Dr. Love and caregiver, Shannon Cambell, for all their hard work and love.
The family received friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, in the Lutz-Austell Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services followed at 11 a.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Tony Rayfield officiating. Interment was at Cleveland Memorial Park.
