Mr. Almbrouse Columbus Haynes (A.C.) of Lawndale, North Carolina, gained his heavenly wings on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the age of 91 years, five months, and four days. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Tom Haynes and Mozelle Williams Haynes on April 15, 1934.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Ostine Clark Haynes; parents; brothers, Henry Haynes, Andy Haynes, and West Haynes; sisters, Minnie Haywood, Florine Houston, Sallie Haynes, Gussie Eberhart, Mozzelle Beam, and Emma Spikes; granddaughter, Alexis Haynes; and son in law, Timmy Thompson.

Left to mourn fond memories of him are children, Linda R. Ussery (Sonny), Doris L Haynes, Priscilla A. Brewton (Raymond); Gail H. Withrow (Michael), Troy D. Haynes, Angie D. Thompson, and Scottie D. Haynes (Jessica); nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren; sisters in law, Annie Mae Ussery, Ida Haynes, Julia Smith, Maratha Clark, and Lillie Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services were held on September 30, 2025, at Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
