Andre' Dwayne Mintz, affectionately known as "Huey" to family, followed his twin sister and was born to the late Charlie and Nancy Mintz on May 22, 1970. Andre' departed this earthly life on July 16, 2020 at Advent Health Palm Coast, FL after a courageous battle against COVID19.

Andre' attended Crest High School in Shelby, NC. He loved his Crest Chargers and was a proud member of the football team, as well as, other sports. Andre' was employed by Loomis Armored Services at the time of his death and spent many years working at Bimbo Bakeries in Gastonia, NC.

Andre' loved the Lord and was baptized at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Kingstown, NC at an early age. Andre' later moved to Charlotte, NC where he met and married his soulmate, Dee. They were members of the Ebenezer Baptist Church of Charlotte, NC. They blended their families and later moved to Palm Coast, Florida.

Andre' enjoyed singing praises to the Lord, especially with his siblings. He enjoyed fishing and cheering on his sports favorites; San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Braves & NASCAR's Jimmy Johnson. Andre' travelled extensively with his wife and became fond of cruising. Andre' was a family man; he was everyone's comedian and a true country boy at heart. He was happiest sitting around laughing and joking with family and playing with his grandbabies. Andre' was the greatest example of a loving husband and father. His presence will forever be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Demetria "Dee" Mintz; Daughters, Alexis Mintz, Llauren Arnold (Patrick), and Laila Mintz; Sons, Andre' Mintz, Jr. and Tre Petty; Granddaughter, Madison Lee; Grandson, Julian Arnold; Sisters, Audrey Denise Mintz Allen (his twin), Marie Mintz, and Shonetta Mintz Martin (Rev. Kenneth); Brother, Michael Mintz (Sharlayne) Sister in law, Colieen Thompkins; Brother in Law, Duane Stowes and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, family and friends including special friends, Michael and Shay Babb and Kenyona Moses.

The funeral service for Mr. Mintz will be private. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon with a reception of friends from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Kingstown. A mask is required if attending. Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery. The service will be live-streamed on Facebook starting at 12:45 PM.
