AUDREY TRAVIS CANIPE, 69, of Shelby passed away April 22, 2014 at home. He was born August 24, 1944 in Cleveland County to the late T.G. and Dovie Davis Canipe.

In addition to his parents, Audrey was preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Patrick.

Audrey is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Pat; daughters, Penny Canipe (Bobby McDowell) and Chasity Humphries (John); son, Travis Canipe (Antonella); sisters, Elizabeth Watkins (Kenneth), Ester Burge; 6 grandchildren, Jake Humphries, Jesse Canipe, Nathan Canipe, Nolan Canipe, Summer McDowell, Maddie McDowell; and his beloved pet dog, Ragan. 

His funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Friday in the Cleveland Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Paul Sorrells officiating. 

Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Shelby. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
